This event is comprised of three day’s of Performance Driving eXperience sessions & an SCCA program of ten 17 lap races to be run throughout Saturday & Sunday.

Entries

Drivers must present their ID at registration as required by the GCR. Races are open to drivers who hold either a SCCA National, Regional or Novice permit license. This competition is also open, with SCCA membership, to competition license holders of the following organizations.
BMW CCA – CACC – FIA - HSR – ICSCC – IMSA – MCSCC – NASA – PCA
Ontario Region CASC – SCCA Pro Racing – SVRA – VMC – Waterford Hills
West Canada Motorsports Association.

Western Ohio region SCCA reserves the right to refuse any entry.
  1. The entry fee is $315 for both days & $210 for one day if post marked by August 25th, 2008. All entries postmarked after this date will be charged a $50 late fee. A $10 compliance fee for SM, FE & SRF class entrants will be added. Refund of entry fee less a $50 service fee will be made if the cancellation is made, in writing by mail, email or fax, prior to 6pm on August 25th, 2008. All written cancellations will be charged a $50 service fee. Verbal cancellations will not be accepted.
  2. Entry fee includes (1) driver & (3) three free crew passes. Additional crew passes will be available for $10 each. Children under 16 are free. Saturday dinner for two is also included. Additional tickets are $15.
  3. There will be a $50 charge for any checks failing to clear the bank.

  5. This is a Great Lakes Division Regional Championship Series event. Series & class rules are available on the Great Lakes web site at www.greatlakes-scca.org.
  6. Please note all participants must register during the allocated registration hours as noted in the meeting schedule. Any problems, contact the Chief Registrar before the event.
  7. Photo ID is mandatory for all participants. Photo Ids can be completed at registration for $5 each.
  8. Novice permits will be available from the Chief Steward after your final event. When collecting, please provide a copy of your results.
  9. To confirm a pending license contact the Registrar before 5pm EDT August 25th, 2008. A SCCA fax or website print of membership/license &/or confirmation will be accepted by the Registrar.
  10. Car number confirmation will not be sent, unless the number choices are not available. In these cases, the registrar will make contact to determine the allocation.
  11. Working AMB Tranx260 transponders are required. Non working transponders may result in a loss of score.
  12. Trophies will be awarded per GCR 3.8.4 or better. Drivers or their representatives must collect their trophies at the track.
  13. Radio frequencies of 151.625MHZ 154.570MHZ 154.600MHZ 154.700MHZ are for official use only.

Grid

  1. Each driver must complete 5 laps during the qualifying sessions. In the event of non completion, the driver must consult the Chief Steward to be able to enter the race.
  2. Grid will be closed at the one minute signal. Cars not at their assigned position will start at the back of the grid.
  3. At the one minute signal all crew must leave the Grid area.
  4. At the one minute signal all drivers will indicate that their cars are ready to leave the false grid, by raising their left hand.
  5. No fueling will be allowed on the grid.
  6. Shirts with sleeves, full length pants & closed shoes must be worn on the Grid.
  7. Spectating from the false grid Is not allowed.

Rules of the Road & Track Policies

  1. A complete list of track policies is available at the track office.
  2. Sound level for Nelson Ledges is 103 dbs as per SCCA GCRs.
  3. The first three (3) place finishers in each class will be impounded. Drivers are responsible for knowing their finishing position. If in doubt, report to impound at the Tech building.
  4. Black flag station will be Station 10 & Start/Finish.
  5. A traffic light is used at Pit Out to signal drivers when they are permitted to enter the track.
  6. Children must be under direct supervision of an adult at all times.
  7. No testing of race vehicles is permitted off the Track property. Any infringement & you will be directed to leave the meeting.
  8. Non muffled engines shall not be operated between 8pm & 7:30am.
  9. Consumption of alcoholic beverages is strictly prohibited until the end of the day’s final activities.
  10. Paddock speed is 5mph. Unsafe use of any vehicle is prohibited.
  11. Joy riding is not allowed
  12. Riding on the outside of any vehicle or trailer is prohibited.
  13. No two, three or four wheeled recreation vehicles are allowed in the paddock except for officials or as race support vehicles. These vehicles shall be operated by STREET LICENSED drivers.
  14. No tires shall be left by the teams. A waste oil drum is located in the Tech building. Waste disposal is provided by Everclear Inc. No glass containers please.
  15. Kryder Racing provide RACE FUEL (110 leaded & 100 unleaded).
  16. Air & Water should be available at this event.
  17. CAMPING is permitted at the track. There are no electrical or water hook-ups. SHOWERS are available.
  18. All pets must be restrained AT ALL TIMES per the GCR by an adult & please clean up after them.
  19. Wristbands provided at Registration must be worn at all times.

Tech

  1. Scales will be available at Tech for competitor’s use during from 7am to 11 am, or by appointment.
  2. Competition cars with video/camera gear must be approved by the Chief of Tech.
  3. Sound control is sited at Driver’s left at the beginning of the front straight

Pit

  1. Shirts with full length sleeves, full length pants & closed shoes must be worn in the pits.
  2. NO SMOKING IN THE PITS
  3. No one under 18 is allowed in the pits.
  4. Only one crew member may stand at the pit wall to signal the driver at the discretion of the Pits Chief.
